Joel has been involved in music since the 80s. After hanging around the clubs and DJs of London and Brighton, England he started DJing himself. He was a regular in the Brighton club scene and was there as dance music culture came of age: "rock 'n' roll dance music" as he calls it.
Jen joined him in the 00s. They formed The Deep DJs and played in Cairo and Bangkok introducing dance music to the club scene in both cities. They even turned their Cairo flat into a club for Berth D Party Nights.
Joel writes and produces British Rock in his Tashkent studio (Back House Studios) under the name Hazy Summerz. Together with Jen they are known as "Split Stack".
